Jointly convened by the Nepal Music Center and the Sibelius Academy of the University of the Arts Helsinki, Finland. Cultural Diversity in Music Education took place on March 29th – April 1st, 2017 in Kathmandu, Nepal.
This conference examined various theoretical and practical aspects relevant to the area of cultural diversity in music education. Contributions were sought from: scholars, researchers and postgraduate students from music education and related disciplines; musicians, music teachers, policymakers and other relevant practitioners; and those working for local, national or transnational music-related agencies with the aim of promoting cultural diversity.
